One hiking trail recently earned props as the most scenic trail in Pennsylvania. Insider and All Trails teamed up to identify the most scenic trail in all 50 states. Here's the one they choose for Pennsylvania:
Appalachian Trail, Pinnacle Trail, Valley Rim, and Pulpit Rock have earned props as the most scenic trail in Pennsylvania. You'll quickly see why it's a bucket list-worthy hike.
At just over 13 miles, the scenic trail is rated moderate. You'll definitely want to wear sturdy hiking boots as the terrain can get pretty rocky.
During normal times and good weather, expect the trail to get quite busy with other hikers. Dogs are also allowed on the trail, but they must be leashed.
Part of the Appalachian Trail, which spans 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine, the Pinnacle Trail leads to several breathtaking natural spots, including...
...Pulpit Rock and the Pinnacle, both of which boast breathtaking views of lush trees, sprawling farmland, and an endless sky.
Both natural overlooks are also perfect for enjoying the sunrise or the sunset.
If you're not up for the entire 13.6-mile trail, you can set off on a shorter trail. Pulpit Rock Trail spans just 3.8 miles and takes you right to the rocks and stellar views.
