Signs stapled to an old board will greet you as you begin your journey to the abandoned West Shore Drive Bridge, also known as the Lake Ontelaunee Bridge.

Tallying just 1.3 miles, the Abandoned West Shore Drive Bridge Trail features a winding paved path, snagging it an easy rating.

The trail welcomes hikers, bikers, and joggers. Much of the path is also accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.

The path leading to the Pennsylvania abandoned bridge has become a haven for graffiti artists, with artwork covering nearly every inch of parts of the trail.

If you're taking kids along, just be aware that there may be some obscene language and drawings.
