Even though I've lived in Pennsylvania for a significant part of my life and in my current town for more than a decade, I still discover places I never knew existed, a testament to just how much there is to do and see here. One of my favorite discoveries is, hands down, outdoor destinations, like Quittie Creek Nature Park. This hidden nature park in Annville, Pennsylvania is an idyllic destination whether you have all day or only an hour or two to visit.

You might have heard it called Quittapahilla Creek Nature Park, but most people know this hidden oasis in Annville as Quittie Creek Nature Park.

A short stroll from the town square in Annville, this 36-acre nature park is pretty much hiding in plain sight. Although it's known by residents, this small-town spot still retains its hidden gem status with those not from here.

The cozy nature park promises quiet in a busy world and boasts a pretty impressive history.

It was once home to a limestone grist mill and a limestone quarry, dating back to the 1800s. Today, a marker pays homage to the grist mill.

One of the park's highlights is the pedestrian bridge that was built in 2007.

The park is home to two ponds, too, beckoning those who enjoy fishing for trout.

The best way to explore Quittie Creek Nature Park is on a picturesque path that will take you along the creek, through the forest, and past the ponds.
