Remember the good old days of skate boarding in the park? Well, those days are still around, but now there's a new concept in town. Whether you're trying to escape the cold or the heat or just want something different to do, plan a visit to Fun Slides. The indoor carpet skate park in Pittsburgh is one-of-a-kind, literally, and provides a ton of fun for the whole family.
Dig out the fluorescent shirts, pants, socks, and shoes for your trip to Fun Slides Carpet Skate Park, billed as the World's Only Indoor Carpet Skate Park.
You'll definitely want to glow as you slip on your "skates," and zip down slides and ramps. If you've never been to Fun Slides, here's how it works.
Everyone gets a pair of skates and, if you've carpet skated before, you'll just make your way to the floor. If not, no worries. A staff member will give you tips and help you get comfortable before you head out on your own.
Anyone three and older can join in the fun. In fact, Fun Slides offers skates up to a size 13 adult. (The skates just slip on over your shoes.)
You'll definitely want to try out the slides and the ramps, but make time for a round or two through the ninja course. Yep, if you like watching the TV show, you'll have a blast on the course.
Fun Slides also offers extra activities - carpet hockey, a bounce house, black light dodge ball, and shooting in the Nerf war arena.
When you need a break, go into the lobby for a quick bite to eat. Fill up on such goodies as pizza, hoagies, and salads, paired with a cold drink.
Kids love Fun Slides? You can even host their birthday party at the indoor carpet skate park.
