You can officially start counting down the days until Pennsylvania will begin to see the landscape transform with brilliant tones of red, orange, and gold. According to the fall foliage forecast, all parts of the state will see some colorful foliage during the last week of September, with the absolute best week for fall foliage beginning October 6th, 2025.

The following week, most of the state will either experience fall foliage, with some areas past their peak, but that gives you plenty of time to make plans to go leaf-peeping. By Halloween, the entire state will be past the peak. Of course, that's no reason to stop adventuring. The time between fall and winter is an underrated shoulder season in Pennsylvania, when crowds thin out a bit.
