Find 7 Bucket-List-Level Views in Oregon Without Needing To Be an Expert Hiker
You don't have to lace up your hiking boots to experience these breathtaking views in Oregon.
The Pacific Northwest certainly isn’t lacking in stunning views, but often, they are hidden behind the long trails that climb up mountaintops, down cliff sides, or curve over forest roots. These hikes can make for thrilling adventures, but they’re often inaccessible or require a lot of time and effort. Luckily, there are a few incredible Oregon views that you can access without hikes or stress, while still allowing you to experience just as much beauty.
1. Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint

- Location: Corbett
- Known For: Overlooking the Columbia River Gorge
Although this is the "official" viewpoint, many visitors also venture to, or even prefer, the famous Vista House, known as a historic landmark on the Columbia River Highway (built in 1917). Nearby, there are dozens of waterfalls, hiking trails, eateries, and small river towns to visit.
2. Cape Perpetua Lookout/Viewpoint
- Location: Yachats
- Known For: The highest viewpoint for a car on the Oregon Coast
Completely accessible by car, this viewpoint is part of the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, which is also part of the Siuslaw National Forest. 3. The Pine Marten Lodge
- Location: Mount Bachelor
- Known For: Gorgeous views, romantic dining options, mid-skiing or hiking food options
This lodge is mainly known for its food and views, but there is so much more to love. All around the area, there are year-round options for visitors, including hiking opportunities, shopping in the village below, and chairlifts to even better views.
4. Sahalie Falls Viewpoint

- Location: Willamette National Forest
- Known For: An accessible way for many people to see the falls
This viewpoint only takes one minute to reach from the parking lot. Due to its ease and accessibility, it is a popular spot for families with young children and those with mobility challenges. For those looking for a bit more, there are additional trails nearby that lead to other water features.
5. Jonsrud Viewpoint
- Location: Sandy

You can skip a hike to the summit when using the gondola, yet still experience breathtaking views. Plus, you can use your saved energy to explore other trails in the area, visit overlooks like the Royal Purple Overlook and the Wallowa Valley Overlook, or eat at the available grill near the gondola.
7. Panorama Point on Hood River
