An Urban Oasis Just Opened At Scissortail Park In Oklahoma And It’s Perfect For Your Next Outing

Scissortail Park just opened in September in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City and is the perfect place to go for your next outing. It's a 70-acre urban oasis with wide-open lawns, play pavilions, picnic spots, paddle boat rentals, and more. Take a look:

Scissortail Park extends from the core of downtown Oklahoma City to the shore of the Oklahoma River near Skydance Bridge.

It's a 70-acre urban oasis that just opened 40-acres of the Upper Park in September. The remaining 30-acre Lower Park is scheduled to open in 2021.

Pedal boats can be rented at The Scissortail Boathouse for $12 per boat for 45 minutes and it's one of the best outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The Children’s Play Pavilion and Playground is every kid's dream offering endless opportunities for kids to play and let their imagination run wild.

There are geometric dome climbers, a net lens, large fort with a tower and slides, rope climbers, and more.

You'll also find a 240-ft. Pedestrian Bridge that spans the lake and is the perfect place to enjoy stunning views of The Park.

It's also one of the best places in the city to catch a good glimpse and photo of the nearby Skydance Bridge.
