The City Of Buffalo Will Have A Front Row Seat For The Next Solar Eclipse

Here in the city of Buffalo, we tend to miss out on major events that happen in the skies up above us, simply due to major factors like light pollution. Luckily for those of us who live in and directly around the Queen City, you'll be glad to hear that one of North America's most anticipated celestial events will be happening in Buffalo's skies. While Earth is no stranger to experiences solar eclipses, the upcoming total solar eclipse of 2024 is the first to be passing through the United States since 2017.

And guess who has a front-row seat to this jaw-dropping event? That's right, Buffalo!

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will begin making its path out on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, whereafter it'll continue its path up across North America until it finally reaches the Atlantic Coast of Canada.

While only a total of 13 states will be able to view the 2024 total solar eclipse, an even smaller number of cities will be in the eclipse's path of totality.

In equally exciting news, the city of Buffalo also happens to have the longest totality time out of any of New York's cities and happens to have one of the longest times in all of the United States.

Set to begin at 3:18 p.m., Buffalo will have impeccable views of the total solar eclipse until 3:45 p.m. on this day in 2024.
