Nothing Says Fall Is Here More Than A Visit To New York’s Charming Maple Farm
Sprague's Maple Farm in Portville, New York, offers a unique fall experience with its maple-infused dishes and seasonal activities.
We all have our own way of transitioning into the fall season here in New York. Some of us will start to get our fall candles out and pick up your favorite pumpkin flavored treats, while others will head to the costume stores as soon as they open to plan our their Halloween outfit. But if you've been looking for a more delicious way to glide right into the season, then New York's very own maple wonderland is exactly where you should be visiting this fall.
Out near our westernmost corner in Cattaraugus County, the small town of Portville has a delicious maple farm and restaurant that will make your taste buds fly through the roof.
Set back from the road, at the heart of Sprague's Maple Farm is a rustic down home country restaurant with plenty of seating available inside.
With wood accents all over the restaurant and quirky details that are impossible to miss, you'll feel like you just stepped into a luxury cabin that has the unforgettable aroma of maple products everywhere.
And if you're lucky enough, you may even have the honor of sitting at a table near the four residents of Sprague's Maple Farm that enjoy the food and maple here just as much as we do.
Infusing maple into dishes that you would've never imagined would pair so well, Sprague's serves meals all day long and has a full Lunch and Dinner menu.
With that said, it's their overwhelmingly delicious Breakfast menu that typically draws in a crowd to the farm! Sprague's has become known as the largest year-round pancake house and restaurant in the area and we wish we could dine here every morning.
Inside the restaurant, there's also a gift shop filled with boxes of pure maple sugar candies, pancake mixes, bottles of syrup, and other amazing gifts you won't be able to resist taking back home with you.
But the fall fun doesn't just start and end with dining at this maple farm, there's more to enjoy during October!
On weekends in October, Sprague's offers wagon rides out to their antique sugarhouse!
On the way to the sugarhouse, you'll even get to enjoy hot mulled cider and freshly made maple cake donuts that you won't be able to get enough of.
Open every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., don't forget to cross off Sprague's Maple Farms from your fall bucket list this year.
