We know this statement might ruffle some feathers with Starbucks fans who love pumpkin spice everything. But we don't think any beverage represents fall in New York more than apple cider. You can find it bottled on store shelves, or maybe you even like to mull some yourself in a slow cooker or on the stove. But there's something special about going straight to the mill and getting it right from the producer. Check out these great apple cider mills in New York that are perfect for warming up on a chilly fall afternoon.
1. Green Acre Farm and Nursery: 3456 Latta Rd, Rochester, NY 14612
Green Acre Farm has been a staple of the Rochester area for more than 40 years. Baked goods, fried pies, fresh-picked apples: they've got it all. Apple cider and apple cider donuts are the featured items of the fall, though. Check out their website for more information.

3. Mayer Bros Cider Mill: 1540 Seneca Creek Rd, Buffalo, NY 14224
One of the best apple farms in Buffalo, Mayer Bros. has some incredible baked goods and tasty cider. Whatever sweet treats you're craving, they are likely to have them, baked fresh each day. Stop by their website for more details.
4. Red Jacket Orchards: 957 Rtes 5 & 20 Geneva NY United States 14456, Geneva, NY 14456
Red Jacket Orchards specializes in delicious unfiltered, cold-pressed juices. You can find them in stores or stop by their farm store, which has been around for more than 50 years. 5. Wager's Cider Mill: 256 E Main St, Penn Yan, NY 14527
Wager's Cider Mill is in the great little town of Penn Yan. They're open each year from August through early January, so there's plenty of time to enjoy delicious cider! With 21 different apple varieties, seven flavors of apple cider donuts, homemade cheeses, grape juice, and more, you won't leave here hungry. Their website has a full list of products.
6. Canton Apple and Cider Co.: 339 NY-310, Canton, NY 13617
Canton Apple is a little different than most of the stores on here in that it's a simple, small roadside stand. While the stand primarily serves apples (with cider available at specific times each week), you can purchase their amazing ciders at various nearby locations. Saratoga Apple has both a u-pick orchard and a farm stand, plus the farm has products available at farmers markets. 8. Apple Ridge Orchards: 101 Jessup Rd, Warwick, NY 10990
With apples and pumpkins, Apple Ridge Orchards is a u-pick heaven! There is something so special about getting to choose and pick your own fruit. Westwind Orchard is a restaurant, farm, and farm store all in one! The on-site restaurant uses products grown right in their fields to create the freshest, most delicious meals possible.
