1. Bogue Chitto State Park, 17049 State Park Blvd, Franklinton, LA
Just head straight across the Causeway Bridge and continue north and you'll find your way to this lovely park. Some awesome hiking trails near New Orleans await you here.
In fact, there is a unique landform found in this park: a gorge that actually offers some elevation in the environment.

Another really popular park is located even closer to the city. Fontainebleau is just over the bridge and right on Lake Pontchartrain.
