As the fall events wrap up and we head toward December, most professional holiday lights displays are already open in New Jersey. You can take a magical drive through Skylands Stadium in Augusta or a hayride through Creamy Acres Farm in Mullica Hill, but if you'd rather take a winter walk, head to Turtle Back Zoo. Known as the Holiday Light Spectacular, it's an annual holiday walk that's bound to become a part of your most treasured holiday traditions. It makes for a fun day out for the whole family and it may just be the best winter walk in New Jersey!

The famed Turtle Back Zoo's Holiday Lights Spectacular is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the holiday season. Fun for the whole family, its theme differs from year to year. This neat local event provides the space and time for a fun Christmas light walk, one of the best in New Jersey.

You can walk through a tunnel of lights, or perhaps ride the train or carousel. The reptile house, aquarium, and pony rides are all open during the event as well. Truly one of the best things to do in winter in New Jersey, the Holiday Light Spectacular is all sorts of fun.

There are all sorts of holiday themed activities and even weekend Santa visits that you're bound to get excited about. Although admission is free, please bring donations of used coats, new toys or non-perishable food items. There's no better winter walking in New Jersey!

There are over 50 sparkling winter and animal-themed light sculptures throughout the event. This of course means that there's no end to the sparkle and fun of the night.
