This Short Hike In New Hampshire Will Reward You With Mindblowing Views
There's nothing more discouraging than suffering through a strenuous hike only to find lackluster views at the top. Luckily, the trail we have for you today is the complete opposite. This one requires minimal effort and delivers maximal reward!
Nestled in Franconia Notch State Park you'll find a small parking lot and trailhead for Artist's Bluff.
The 1.5 mile loop trail quickly rewards you with absolutely stunning views, the kind you normally need to hike much farther for.
The trail can be a little scrambly, but it's not too difficult - and it's absolutely worth it.
When you reach the top of the hike, you'll have magnificent views of Echo Lake, Cannon Mountain, and Mount Lafayette.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the trail, so you can bring your four-legged friends along to enjoy the views too!
If you want a longer and more challenging hike, you can divert up Bald Mountain - but the views just from Artist's Bluff are good enough that there's no real need!
The summer is gorgeous in the summer and fall, but for prime photo opportunities consider coming back during foliage season - you won't regret it.
For more information of the trail, check out the AllTrails map and listing for Artist's Bluff. Go forth and hike!
