Cascade Path Is A Magical Place In New Hampshire That You Thought Only Existed In Your Dreams

Discover the stunning Cascade Brook waterfall hike in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, featuring beautiful cascades and refreshing pools.

Compared to the more famous waterfalls in the world, New Hampshire's collections of cascades may not rate as the largest, but they are no less beautiful. Our state's rugged geology helps to channel streams and rivers through deep granite cuts and over smooth ledges. One waterfall hike in New Hampshire follows alongside Cascade Brook in Waterville Valley and trust me when I say it is stunning.

The hike begins from the Snow's Mountain Ski Area in the scenic town of Waterville Valley.

Cascade Brook is a waterway that flows down from headwaters that sit deep within the White Mountain National Forest.

This is not a strenuous hike, nor should it be done quickly. Take your time and enjoy the scenery.

Pleasant vignettes along the trail will encourage you to stop and take in the sights and sounds of the brook.

As you hike up Cascade Path, the brook flows in the opposite direction beside you over numerous larger and smaller cascades.

On hot summer days, the pools along the brook are refreshing spots to take a dip.

Aside from the brook itself, the sun-filtered forest provides a relaxing natural setting.

The total round-trip distance for this walk is about three miles with 540 feet of climbing. For more information on this exquisite waterfall hike in New Hampshire, visit the Waterville Valley Resort website.

If you love hiking alongside water as much as I do, you will enjoy these ten easy walks to stunning waterfalls, or perhaps take a longer trek to two remote backcountry ponds.
