Located in the small town of Bartlett, New Hampshire in the White Mountains, Diana's Baths is a series of small waterfalls and natural pools that hikers of almost any skill can get to. Because of its accessibility, Diana's Baths is a perfect hiking trail in New Hampshire, to add to a busy day exploring the White Mountains. Beautiful scenery and cool refreshing waters await you, so what are you waiting for? It's time to get outside and make good use of one of the best mountain ranges in all of New England.
The 1.3-mile out-and-back trail is accessible even to beginner hikers, and there's a big reward for making it through the trail.
Along the way, you'll find a series of beautiful waterfalls and bathing pools that feel incredibly refreshing during a rigorous if not immensely challenging hike. Make Diana's Bath one of your last hikes of the day, so you can cool off in the refreshing mountain water. The waterfalls reach as high as 75 feet.
At the top of the trail, you'll also be treated to a stunning view of the New Hampshire White Mountains. Diana's Baths are part of the White Mountain National Forest.
In an interesting slice of history, Diana's Baths used to have a home built next to it in the 1860s. You can still see some remnants of the buildings on the trail today.
Furry friends are welcome on this trail and will enjoy the refreshing baths just as much as you do.
"Nice wide path," reports AllTrails hiker Troy Thibeault. "Never-ending breathtaking waterfalls with clear water. A .6-mile hike up that wasn't too bad at all. A must-see; if you haven't already, add this to your bucket list. You won't be disappointed."
One thing to note when planning for this hike is that the parking lot can fill up quickly for such a beautiful experience. Hikers recommend arriving early in the day to maximize peace and parking. There is also a $5 fee for parking and day use. The fee is on the honor system with a box right at the trailhead. There are also bathrooms which are a rare thing to find in the White Mountains, so we like to mention them when we can.
The White Mountains are packed with stunning viewpoints and unique natural experiences. Diana's Baths are an experience that can be easily shared by the whole family. Make good use of this hiking trail in New Hampshire and many others just like it. Diana's Baths is a great place to explore when it's warm out but takes on a whole new look in the winter months and early spring. Check out this Adventuring in the Moment video where they hike to see massively powerful water flow from the melting snow in the early spring.
