New Hampshire’s First Farm Brewery Is Unexpectedly Awesome
Throwback Brewery in North Hampton offers a unique experience combining locally sourced beer with a farm setting.
What do you get when you cross a beautiful old farm with a day of enjoying beers with friends? One of the most unique breweries you'll ever find! The folks behind this special brewery have been brewing and selling their own beer since 2011 and their commitment to the perfect brew comes shining through. Check them out the next time you want to try something new with friends.
Throwback Brewery, located in North Hampton, has a clear mission to acquire all of the ingredients for their beer from within 200 miles of the brewery.
Right now, they consider themselves about 70% to 99% to their mission which is impressive for the beer industry!
We love them for their commitment to this low-impact way of operating, but we REALLY love where they're located!
They started brewing in a warehouse, but have since moved the operation into a 1860s post and beam barn located on the beautiful 12-acre Hobbs Farm.
A trip to the farm means visiting their hop yard, seeing their heirloom chickens, pigs, Nigerian dwarf goats, miniature donkeys, and geese.
It also means enjoying their beer garden, kids' games and learning about the solar panels that help power the beer creation.
And the beer is what most people are here for!
From blonde ales to pale ales to IPAs and wheats, there's a brew here for every beer lover.
They even have a restaurant where everything is homemade using locally sourced ingredients including many from the Hobbs Farm itself.
So, plan a day to visit the farm and enjoy a full day of great food and even better beer.
Throwback Brewery is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. There's tons of information on their website, or check them out on Facebook.
