Over the past few years, the craft beer scene in New Hampshire has absolutely boomed. We have some really fantastic breweries large and small here in the Granite State, and you've probably tried at least a few of their beers - but have you gone behind the scenes to where the action happens? These 9 brewery tours will make you appreciate your next cold one in a whole new way.
1. Tuckerman Brewing Company, Conway
In operation since 1998, this White Mountains brewery has a great facility and delicious beer. They have tours at 2 and 4 p.m. daily, no reservations necessary. Keep an eye out for their concert series! You'll find them at 66 Hobbs St, Conway, NH 03818. Learn more here.
2. Smuttynose Brewing Company, Hampton
Smuttynose, founded in 1994, has achieved an impressive level of success, with distribution in more than twenty states, as well as Europe and Asia. Their commitment to New Hampshire remains strong though - after all, they're named after one of the Isles of Shoals! Their tours are impressive and free - they just ask for a $2 donation to one of several charities. Of course, you'll probably want to buy some beer in addition to the samples before you leave! They're located at 105 Towle Farm Rd Hampton, NH 03842. Learn more here.
3. 603 Brewery, Londonderry
We love the New Hampshire pride in the name of this brewery! Founded in 2012 by 3 college friends, the brewery produces small batch beer that you've probably seen sold around the state.
