Farmers market and CSA season is in full swing, and you may have already visited one of our great New Hampshire pick-your-own farms for sweet summer strawberries. Sometimes, though, just eyeing produce isn't enough to satisfy all members of your family, especially if you have kids. These 5 Granite State Farms have complimentary offerings (petting zoos, in many cases!) that are sure to keep everyone happy and entertained.
1. Beech Hill Farm and Ice Cream Barn, Hopkinton
This gorgeous farm has pick your own apples, pumpkins, and Christmas trees, a petting zoo, and some gorgeous walking trails, including one that has a dinosaur theme for the little ones! It doesn't open for the season until August, but they sometimes have special events, so keep an eye on their website>. You can find the farm at 20 Orchard Way

2. Moulton Farm, Meredith
Moulton Farm sells scrumptious produce and beautiful plants for your garden, but they also have a farm kitchen where you can buy all sorts of delicious prepared foods that use their own produce. They also have a great corn maze in the fall, and if you want to contribute to the design you can enter a contest on their website. The farm is located at 18 Quarry Rd, Meredith, NH 03253.
3. DeMerritt Hill Farm, Lee
Beech Hill Farm has it all – a garden center, farm animals, a country store, walking trails, and over 75 flavors of ice cream! There's even a sundae bar. Learn more on their website and visit at 107 Beech Hill Road, Hopkinton, NH.
4. J & F Farms, Derry
This amazing farm sells home-raised meat, produce, local New Hampshire products, and more – and their free petting zoo is a true delight. Find the farm at 124 Chester Road Derry, NH, 03038, and learn more on their website.
5. Brookford Farm, Canterbury
This incredible farm raises cattle, pigs, and chickens, for both meat and dairy. They also grow a ton of produce, and, perhaps best of all – they make their own cheese! It's darn good, too.
