The Enchanting Attraction In New Hampshire Is One Of The Best Places To Enjoy Autumn

Autumn in New Hampshire means the daylight gets shorter, the sweaters come out of storage, and probably best of all, visions of delicious harvest meals come to mind. Perhaps nothing is more important to the latter than our local independent farms. They are a crucial part of our history and heritage here in the Granite State in addition to being economic drivers. One of the most charming New Hampshire farms can be found in Lebanon and it's one that you should visit this autumn season.

Patch Orchards produces apples, cider, and maple syrup products for both its farmstand and for local retail outlets.

The orchard is located within the beautiful setting of the Connecticut River valley, home to some of the best autumn scenery in the state.

The land at Patch Orchards in Lebanon has been farmed by eight generations of family. Wetherell Hough first settled here on the "third hill away from the river" in 1775.

The farm features pick-your-own apples and pumpkins as well as a fully-stocked farmstand and tasting room where you can enjoy fresh cider.

Of course, you can also find a wide variety of fresh produce at the farm, including honey, corn, eggs, and cucumbers.

During the months of September, October, and November, visit Patch Orchards and get lost in its corn maze. There is an admission fee, but kids ages 6 and under can explore for free.

There's probably nothing more quintessential during the fall than the sweet taste of an apple cider donut.

Autumn is the perfect time to get out and experience what New Hampshire farms like Patch Orchards have to offer for the harvest season. For more information, visit the Patch Orchards website and follow Patch Orchards on Facebook.
