These days we're all about getting out and enjoying the beauty of New Hampshire. But, will so many things closed this year we've been spending a lot of time working up a sweat. While it's been great, we're more than happy to start doing some things that don't require a whole lot of effort. And that's why we're loving this waterfall.

Pollard Mills Falls in Newport is one of those places where you might not work up a sweat, but the views and surrounding beauty are just about all you'll need.

While the forest setting and sound of the waterfall are the draw, we can't deny how much we appreciate the fact that the entire thing is just a step or two from the parking lot. In fact, you can see it from from your car.

The waterfall features an 18-foot drops right in the middle of the Sugar River.

And in the summer there's a wonderful place to swim nearby.

But mostly we're happy to simply enjoy the view.

And this isn't just a warm-weather destination. The waterfall and river are stunning in the winter.

This is a wonderful attraction for folks who aren't sure on their feet, but love accessing natural beauty in the Granite State.

So, make your way to Newport. Visiting is best between April and November and swimming is safest when the water is low.

But, visiting and looking out from the parking lot is wonderful any time of year.
