The Tahoe East Shore Trail officially opened on June 28, 2019. Starting at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Highway 28, the path stretches all the way to Sand Harbor State Park. Whether on foot or bicycle, you can't help but fall in love with the fantastic scenery found along this Nevada biking trail.

The family-friendly trail is completely paved and boasts a spacious 10-foot-width path. While traversing it, you'll encounter 17 vista points that overlook Tahoe and 11 shoreline access points leading to hidden beaches. Before the trail was constructed, accessing these destinations had not only been difficult, but incredibly dangerous too.

This stretch of highway is known to become especially congested and several people have been struck by moving vehicles while traversing the area. Now that this bikeway in Nevada exists, hikers and bikers have safe and direct access to Lake Tahoe.

This stunning path wouldn't have been possible without the local Tahoe Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Lake Tahoe. They raised more than $1 million from thousands of private donors to build this beautiful bike path in Nevada.

One of the bike path's most amazing features is the 810-foot-long bridge that hangs over the shoreline between Incline Village and Sand Harbor. Cruising over Tahoe's vibrant blue waters is an experience that simply can't be described. Therefore, you'll need to visit this bikeway in Nevada to experience it!
