Montana’s Favorite Garden And Arboretum, Tizer Botanic Gardens, Is A Work Of Art

Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum in Montana offers enchanting gardens and seasonal attractions for visitors.

While parts of Montana remain covered in snow, the majority of us are looking forward to brighter days and sunnier weather. Spring is right around the corner, and we hope you have some seasonal traditions to look forward to. For many, that may mean taking a spring or summer trip to Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum. This place is absolutely enchanting, no matter when you go.

Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum sits just 1.2 miles off I-15 in Jefferson, about 18 miles south of Helena.

Just take Exit 176 at Jefferson City and follow the signs.

A botanic garden is defined as a collection of plants for the purpose of education, while an arboretum is a collection of woody plants (trees and vines) meant to serve the same purpose.

Of course, we simply call this place beautiful, for the purpose of making us love life a little more.

The gardens here are quite comprehensive.

There's the Rose Garden, developed in 2003, the Herb Garden, the Gazebo Garden, a Meditation Garden, and even a Children's Garden.

The most impressive and popular area, however, is the Wildflower Walk.

Throughout the spring and parts of summer, climb above the Children's Garden and some of Montana's most amazing wildflowers, like buttercups and crocus.

Butterflies and hummingbirds tend to love this entire property, but there is also a Butterfly & Hummingbird Garden set up just for them.

Obviously, you'll want to approach this one with caution.

When conditions allow, this is a popular place for weddings and other small gatherings.

However, most people prefer to visit simply to wander, enjoy the peace and quiet, or purchase some beautiful plants.

While the official opening day for Tizer Botanic Gardens has not been announced yet, it won't be long before you can sit right here and relax.

In the meantime, you can place your pre-orders on the website and pick them up by appointment.
