Take A Creepy Haunted Wagon Ride This Month At Zoo Montana

Do you have any fall traditions? If you're into Halloween, your spooky season plans probably involve a haunted house or two and maybe a trip through a creepy corn maze. But if you live anywhere near Billings, you may be aware of the Sleepy Hollow Haunted Wagon Rides at ZooMontana. Now in its sixth season, this October event will scare you senseless in the best way.

ZooMontana, the only zoo in the Treasure State, has been around since 1984.

As the only true zoological and botanical park within a 500-mile radius of Billings, it's pretty popular.

ZooMontana is always hosting fun seasonal events, and October is no exception.

Both the guests and the residents really get into the Halloween spirit here.

The Sleepy Hollow Haunted Wagon Rides take you through the zoo on a traditional horse-drawn wagon.

The property has been transformed into Sleepy Hollow, and you and your fellow wagon riders should watch out for spooky surprises.

The wagon path winds its way through a variety of scenery and creepy sites.

During that time, you'll listen to an animated story narration of the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

But beware -- the Headless Horseman is said to haunt this area, and your odds of seeing him are actually pretty good.

While this experience is definitely unsettling, it's generally appropriate for families and most children. Just note that the later in the evening you go, the scarier it might be because of the darkness.

You can wind your way through Sleepy Hollow every weekend leading up to Halloween.

Tickets are $15 each, and each wagon can accommodate between 15 and 25 people.
