The craft beer scene in Montana is better than ever, and we couldn't be happier about it. And with spring finally on the way (we promise, it's coming eventually), it's time to start planning your next great Treasure State adventure. Designate a driver, because this road trip is full of breweries, and it'll be a blast.

You'll want to take a nice, long weekend to enjoy this adventure, and make sure to add your own stops or skip a few spots if need be. While there's no such thing as too much beer, there is such a thing as too much brew at once.

1. Uberbrew, 2305 Montana Ave., Billings

First, head to Uberbrew for a delicious lunch and some ice cold beer. Voted Small Brewery & Brewer Of The Year in 2016, this relatively new brewery has already become one of Billings' best.

2. Montana Brewing Company, 113 N 28th St., Billings

Next, head to Montana Brewing Company, a charming local spot that's been serving tasty brew since 1994. Their award-winning beer includes the famous Custer's Last Stout, and if you're still hungry, the burgers are fantastic.

3. Thirsty Street Brewing Company, 3008 1st Ave N., Billings

Thirsty Street offers at least six full-flavored beers on tap at all times. And with unique options like Pearanormal Pear Sour and Big Bison Stout, you might be here awhile.

4. Canyon Creek Brewing, 3060 Gabel Rd., Billings

Before you had out of town, stop at Canyon Creek. As the first brewery built from the ground up in Billings, it's a must-see.

5. Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company, 1445 N Broadway, Red Lodge

If you're up for one more beer, head south to Red Lodge and end your evening at this classic brewery. Before Prohibition, Red Lodge Brewing Company made great local beer. Many years later, Sam Hoffmann started Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company, made from Montana glacial water. Their award-winning beer is sold all over the state.

6. Neptune's Brewery, 19 N L St., Livingston

The next morning, drive to Livingston and check out Neptune's Brewery. This little sea-themed oasis serves brew with light flavors and refreshing finishes, so it's a great place to start your day. Neptune's is about to open a new location, Neptune's Taphouse & Eatery, at 232 Main Street.

7. Katabatic Brewing Company, 117 W Park St., Livingston

This cozy, warm tasting room is nice and welcoming. Katabatic Brewing Co. opened in September of 2014, and their four standards are always on tap.

8. Bridger Brewing, 1609 S. 11th Ave., Bozeman

Located in a business park at the MSU campus, Bridger Brewing definitely attracts a youthful crowd, but it's fun for all ages. The craft beer is exceptional, but make sure you get some pizza as well -- it's outstanding.

9. 406 Brewing Company, 111 East Oak, Suite 1A, Bozeman

406 Brewing Company has a pleasant rustic tasting room you won't want to miss. The equipment is visible behind Plexiglass, so you can see where the flagship beers get their beginnings.

10. Outlaw Brewing, 2876 N 27th, Bozeman

If you think you're up for one more tasting, Outlaw Brewing is a great place to end the brewery trail. With beers like Passive Aggressive Pale Ale and Hangin’ Judge Imperial IPA available, choosing your final brew won't be easy.
