Hidden within the more than 2,270 acres of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park in Columbia is an abundance of natural gems, including a natural rock bridge and Devil's Icebox.

Exploring the expansive state park is easy, especially if you hit one of its many hiking trails.

Connors Cave Trail, a .07-mile trek, will lead you straight to the unique rock formation. The cave does tend to flood, so you might not want to visit if it's rained heavily in recent days.

If you are able to explore the cave, you'll be treated to some unique, photo-worthy views.

One of the highlights of the park, Devil's Icebox is a double sinkhole that features an underground stream. Tours of the cave are currently unavailable to help protect its resident bats.

Follow the Karst Trail for more natural beauty, this time sinkholes and wide open meadows. The trail meanders 2.1 miles and is considered easy.

No matter what trail you follow, you'll discover unique rock formations, an abundance of wildlife, and even wildflowers in the warmer months.

Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is also popular with bikers and horseback riders, so you have several relaxing ways to explore the park and its natural wonders.

When you need a break, relax with lunch at one of the picnic tables. The park also features a playground for the kiddos.
