Swim Underneath A Waterfall At This Refreshing Swimming Hole In Mississippi

Union Falls in Mississippi is a unique, waterfall-fed swimming hole that offers a refreshing and secluded spot for locals.

Summer temperatures in Mississippi are practically unbearable… unless you have a great swim spot. Lucky for you, we found the perfect place for you to cool off, and it’s Union Falls. A waterfall-fed swimming hole, it’s not only refreshing, but it’s unique, too. Take a look:

Union Falls is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Accessing the wondrous waterfall requires travelling to Ovett, an unincorporated community in Jones County.

Despite its remote locale, the waterfall is fairly easy to find.

Simply head to Ovett Moselle Road and from there, it’s just a short trek along a well-beaten path to Union Falls.

The waterfall flows over natural rock into the Tallahala Creek below.

Eroded over the years, the rock has been transformed into a cavernous ledge, which means...

...you can actually swim underneath the cascading fall!

A one-of-a-kind swim spot, Union Falls is a local favorite.

However, just because it’s a local favorite that doesn’t mean it attracts hoards of people.

It’s mostly only those who live in the area who know about this waterfall.
