1. Crystal Springs Farm Market (Crystal Springs)
Crystal Springs Farm Market is a pick your own fruit farm that offers several varieties of both blueberries and blackberries in addition to selling their own local honey. While there, be sure to check out the authentic windmill, which is used for irrigation and pond renewal.
2. Mitchell Farms (Collins)
In business since 1960, Mitchell Farms has expanded tremendously over the years and now includes a whopping 1,500 acres! In addition to pick your own fruit, such as tomatoes and peaches, the farm offers other fresh fruits and vegetables, peanuts, the best pumpkin patch in Mississippi, and tours of both the farm and the on-site historic cabin, which is filled with antiques and memorabilia.
3. Cedar Hill Farm (Hernando)
First opened to the public in 1996, Cedar Hill Farm offers a little bit of everything. While on the farm you can pick your own fruit, including blackberries, blueberries, plums, peaches, pears, and figs. You can also purchase homemade jams, jellies, canned vegetables, and honey at the farm’s country store, take part in a number of educational trips, grab a bite to eat at the Country Kitchen, and play a game of paintball – definitely something for everyone.
4. Nesbit Blueberry Plantation (Nesbit)
Since 1984, running Nesbit Blueberry Plantation, a pick your own fruit farm, has been a family affair. Each summer the Traicoff family opens the farm to the public, allowing visitors access to several varieties of deliciously sweet blueberries. And for just over $10 a gallon, it’s definitely worth braving the summer heat.
5. Charlie’s U-Pik (257 Charlie’s Lane, Lucedale)
Encompassing 100 acres, Charlie’s U-Pik features an impressive variety of fruits and vegetables. Promising a "pickin’ good time," a visit to this pick your own fruit farm is the perfect way to not only stock up on fresh produce but to spend time with the entire family.
6. Toft Farms (Carriere)
In addition to a seemingly endless supply of pick your own blueberries, Toft Farms also offers pre-picked and frozen blueberries - and they’ll even deliver! Not in the mood for blueberries? That’s okay; they also offer fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis, squash, and beans.
7. Pecan Hill Farms (Raymond)
Boasting a family friendly atmosphere, Pecan Hill Farms is an ideal way to spend a day with the family, picking fresh blueberries and blackberries.
8. Blueberry Heaven (Vancleave)
A family owned and operated farm, Blueberry Heaven prides itself on producing completely organic blueberries, eliminating pesticides and other chemicals. Spanning six acres and home to thousands of blueberry bushes, this fruit picking farm is the perfect place for a family outing.
9. Reese Orchard (Starkville)
Offering pick your own fruit, including blueberries, Asian pears, muscadines, scuppernongs, and Oriental persimmons, Reese Orchard cannot be beat when it comes to variety.
10. Hope Fruit and Berry Farm (Morton)
If you’re looking to make a day of berry picking then Hope Fruit and Berry Farm is the place for you. After gathering blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines, you can end the day in the most southern way possible – relaxing on the huge front porch.
11. Mathis Peaches and Produce (Meridian)
When you want to do some strawberry picking, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Mathis Peaches and Produce
in Meridian. The farm produces some of the biggest, juiciest, sweetest strawberries around. Strawberry seekers can purchase the berries pre-picked. However, each year, the farm opens its fields to the public, making it one of the best pick your own fruit farms in the state. But it’s not just a strawberry farm, though.
