Sloths are so freaking adorable! Most zoos prohibit visitors from touching and holding these lovable creatures. Luckily, though, the Hattiesburg Zoo isn’t one of those zoos. In fact, the zoo actually invites visitors to hold, feed, and learn all about sloths by taking part in a Sloth Experience in Mississippi. Despite its smaller size, Hattiesburg Zoo continually impresses visitors. The 12-acre zoo, which is located in Kamper Park, is home to more than 80 species of animals from all around the world. It's one of a few Mississippi zoos with sloths.

Most of the zoo’s inhabitants can only be viewed from afar, but not the sloths.

Thanks to the Sloth Experience, you can actually feed – and pet – sloths!

These fun sloth encounters in Mississippi begin with a tour of the animal kitchen. From there, you’ll assist the keeper in preparing food for the sloths.

Once the food prep is complete, you’ll have an opportunity to feed a sloth.

The Hattiesburg Zoo sloth experience lasts a total of 30 minutes and is available just a few days each week.
