Established in 1962, Grand Gulf Military Park is located about 10 miles north of Port Gibson in the ghost town of Grand Gulf.

It’s open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Like most parks, it includes nature trails, picnic areas, and a campground – but that’s where the similarities end.

History comes to life at Grand Gulf, which spans 400 acres and includes forts, a historic cemetery, museum, and several restored buildings that date back to Grand Gulf's heyday. Visitors will learn quite a bit while exploring this historic park in Mississippi.

When visiting this Mississippi historic park, the museum is the perfect place to begin your journey back in time.

Step inside, and you’ll find lots of items from the early days of the booming town. There’s also a Mastodon bone, Civil War artifacts, and artifacts from the early 1800s up to the 1950s.

As you make your way around the park, you’ll come across lots of interesting sites from yesteryear.
