If it’s even possible, Mississippi seems to be more beautiful during the fall. There’s just something about the boldly-colored autumn leaves that make for striking scenery. And while beautiful fall foliage can be found just about anywhere in the state, we decided to check out what the state parks had to offer, and here’s what we found.
1. The lovely fall colors only add to the beauty at Natchez State Park.
2. Who knew Tishomingo State Park could get even more beautiful?
3. The oldest of Mississippi’s state parks, Leroy Percy definitely delivers when it comes to great views.
4. Roosevelt State Park is known for gorgeous scenery, especially during the fall, thanks to its close proximity to Bienville National Forest.
5. Located on a bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, J.P. Coleman State Park is no stranger to breathtaking scenery.
6. The beautiful 150-acre lake at Lake Lowndes State Park is only further enhanced thanks to the presence of boldly-colored autumn leaves.
7. Natchez Trace is technically part of the national park service, but it is just too lovely to keep off this list.
8. A setting rich in natural beauty, Wall Doxey State Park gets only more stunning in the fall.
9. Clark Creek Nature Area's waterfalls look even better thanks to beautiful greenery.
10. Known for providing a scenic backdrop, Holmes County State Park is a photographer's paradise.
