It’s located in Tishomingo State Park, which is full of incredible natural beauty. The best part is this short and sweet trek leads you to some of the park’s best sites, including a historic cabin and a waterfall. Take a look:

In terms of easy hikes with big pay-offs, Tishomingo State Park’s CCC Pond Trail doesn’t disappoint. The short trek showcases some of the park’s best features, including a cascading waterfall.

At just 3/4 miles in length, CCC Pond Trail is perfect for hikers of all ages.

And with signage leading the way, it's easy to navigate.

One of the best parts about the waterfall is the bridge that extends across the top of it.

Climb to the top of the bridge and get a unique perspective of the flowing fall.

The waterfall isn’t the trail’s only impressive feature, though.

There’s also a pioneer cabin, which dates back to the 1800s.

You can even step inside the historic dwelling and admire the craftsmanship.

The cabin marks the end of the CCC Pond Trail. However, it also marks the beginning of the CCC Camp Trail, which is definitely worth checking out.

The 3-mile trail follows rocky outcrops and crosses several springs and streams before coming to an end…

…at the park’s famous swinging bridge.

One of the state’s only swinging bridges, trekking across is a real treat.

The views aren’t too bad, either, especially in the fall.
