There aren't a ton of waterfalls in Mississippi, which makes keeping track of the state’s falls an easy task. However, there is one cascade that most people don’t know about – despite the fact that it’s hiding in plain sight at the Elvis Presley Center.
Located in Tupelo, the Elvis Presley Center is comprised of the Elvis Presley Birthplace, the Elvis Presley Museum and Memorial Chapel, and Elvis Presley Park.
Each year, more than 100,000 people from around the world visit the Elvis Presley Center.
Surprisingly, though, many residents are unaware of one of the center’s loveliest sights – a waterfall.
Though not huge, the cascade is beautiful, and it couldn’t be easier to access. It’s nestled along a boardwalk path, which winds around Reflections Lake.
The fall isn’t the center’s only charming water feature, though.
There’s also the Fountain of Life, which has 13 upper waterspouts to represent the years Elvis lived in Tupelo and 29 lower waterspouts, symbolizing his years in Memphis.
Of course, the water features are just a couple of the can’t-miss sights at the Elvis Presley Center.
There’s so much more to explore.
Not only can you step inside Elvis’ boyhood home, but you can tour the Presley family’s former church as well as peruse exhibits, photomurals, graphics, and audiovisual presentations at the Elvis Presley Museum.
For more info, call the Elvis Presley Center at (662) 841-1245. You can also visit the Elvis Presley Center website.
