Mississippi Recently Opened Up A New Community Park And You’re Going To Love It
There’s a new park in Pearl, Mississippi, and it’s a hidden gem just waiting for families to explore. Pearl is a decent-sized city near Jackson with a population of about 27,000 residents, and it recently renovated an older park. While there are still a few things to do, the majority of the park is open to the public and so far, the reviews are raving! Let’s check it out:
Pearl Park on Hwy. 80 recently opened to visitors in November of 2023.
This awesome little park is perfect for families with kids of all ages. If you were wanting to spend more time outdoors this year, make plans to head over to this park!
One of the main additions to the park is a new playground.
The kids will have a blast here!
The playground has different sections for different age groups, so even the littlest of park visitors can enjoy this new space.
Go ahead and make a day out of it! Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic outside while enjoying the scenery.
Admittedly, one of the major requests since the park has opened is for more seating around the playground. You may want to bring your own chairs if you plan on staying around for a few hours!
There are restrooms and water fountains, too.
Personally, I love that they included an overhang on some parts of the playground. We all know how brutal those summer months can be!
Not only is the heat just unbearable at times, but those metal pieces can be hot! These tarps are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they’re practical, too.
Take some time to wander down the trails!
Everything is exciting when it's brand new. I can't wait to see this park in the Spring when things are blooming!
