The Mississippi Aquarium Was Recently Named One Of The Nation’s Best Attractions    

Things are going swimmingly for the Mississippi Aquarium! According to USA Today, it's one of the nation's best new attractions. A reel honor, it's in good company, as the list included some great places across the country.

The results are in! Gulfport’s Mississippi Aquarium is one of the best new attractions in the U.S.

The aquarium landed the 4th spot on USA Today’s 2020 list of the “Top 10 Best New Attractions.”

It appeared alongside some pretty amazing places, including the MassArt Art Museum in Boston, MA and St. Pete Pier in St. Petersburg, FL.

Being included on the list is a huge honor. Not only were the winners determined by voters across the U.S., but, at the time of voting, the aquarium had only been open for a short time.

More than worthy of the recognition, the aquarium boasts over 80,000 square feet of exhibits!

The exhibits aren’t limited to sea life, though.

The aquarium is home to a variety of species from the land and air, too.

Alligators, river otters, and birds are just a few of the animals found at the aquarium.

But visitors can do more than admire the aquarium's residents from afar. A variety of activities and tours mean you can actually interact with them.

It's a fact that the aquarium is one of the state's newer attractions. And this recent award proves it's one of the best, too!
