1. Biloxi Lighthouse, Biloxi

This popular landmark is the perfect place to view the city of Biloxi and the Gulf of Mexico. Guided tours of the lighthouse are given daily and cost $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 2-12.

2. Dunn’s Falls, Enterprise

Visitors to the 65’ Dunn’s Falls are treated to exceptional vistas, which include close-up views of the flowing water as it powers the still functioning water wheel and then makes its descent to the Chunky River below.

3. Little Mountain, milepost 193.1 on the Natchez Trace Parkway

Located in Jeff Busby Park, Little Mountain is the second highest point in the state. Follow the "easy to moderate" trail straight to the top, where, on a clear day, visibility spans about 20 miles.

4. Twentymile Bottom Overlook, milepost 278.4 on the Natchez Trace Parkway

Trek to this overlook, which is located near Tupelo, and take in beautiful views of the bottom land of Twentymile Creek.

5. Black Belt Overlook, milepost 251.9 on the Natchez Trace Parkway

At one time, this area was under the arm of the ocean. Today, it’s one of the Trace’s most well-known overlooks, offering views of greenery, foliage, and flat grasslands. On-site signage provides information on the area’s extremely fertile, black soil.

6. Reservoir Overlook, milepost 105.6 on the Natchez Trace Parkway

This overlook is rated one of the "Top 30 Favorite Sites" on the Natchez Trace and for good reason. Not only is it the perfect place to take in the popular Ross Barnett Reservoir, but there’s also a Multi-Use Trail, which makes exploring the scenic area a breeze.

7. Red Bluff, Morgantown

Standing at approximately 400’ above sea level, Mississippi’s Little Grand Canyon is one of the state’s most impressive (and stunning) sites.

8. Mississippi River Overlook, Vicksburg

This overlook is located near the Ameristar Casino, and is the perfect place to take in the Vicksburg Bridge and Mighty Mississippi.

9. Yazoo River Overlook, Vicksburg

Enjoy both beauty and history from one of the highest points in Vicksburg with a visit to this overlook, which includes informative signage on the area’s importance during the Civil War.

10. Bluff Park, Natchez

This Natchez park includes a gazebo and picnic area – both of which overlook the gorgeous Mississippi River. Stroll around the park and check out the historic markers that provide information on Natchez resident Richard Wright and one of the city’s biggest tragedies - the fire at Rhythm Night Club.
