Non-Stop Snow And Cold Have Been Hitting Minnesota – And There’s More Coming

Minnesota is experiencing an unusually cold and snowy winter with record-breaking snowfall in February.

The recent weather in Minnesota is a reminder to never get too comfortable with the weather in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Just when we thought spring was around the corner - or at least around the block - weather reports suggest even more coming cold and snow. After you're done digging out of the last snowstorm, get ready for the next one. Read on to learn about the coming cold and snow in Minnesota.

The winter of 2018-2019 has been a whirlwind for Minnesotans. The season started out mild, with many people across the state experiencing a lackluster brown Christmas.

After that, it has been nonstop cold ever since. In January, schools across the state closed for several days in a row thanks frigid wind chills.

It was a weeklong stretch of cars not starting, pipes freezing, and dangerously cold temperatures.

While it has warmed up a bit since the big freeze, the Land of 10,000 Lakes is still solidly frozen after the season's mild start.

To put a cherry on top of the cold, Minnesota has been dumped with snow for the past month. Snow-related school closures have affected many districts in the state.

Just in the past week, a large snowfall has made this February a record-breaking month. Minneapolis has now gotten 31.5 inches of snow!

But it's not over yet. This weekend, the last of the month, may bring yet another blizzard. There are several more inches on the way - maybe even up to 10.

Mother Nature doesn't show any signs of slowing down on the cold and snow. It may be beautiful, but it sure is hard to deal with.

We may soon run out of places to put it!
