Rocks State Park is located in Maryland's northeastern region. It's known for scenic trails, beautiful overlooks, and best of all... a waterfall!
This natural wonder is known as Kilgore Falls. Not only is this spot breathtaking, but it was also a filming location in the Disney movie Tuck Everlasting.
To get to the waterfall, you'll have to take Falling Branch Trail, arguably one of the best hikes with swimming holes in Maryland. It's only a little over a mile, so even kids can enjoy this short and sweet adventure.
Along the way, you'll see serene paths...
...and flowing water.
There are plenty of spots for photo ops along the way, so bring a camera. You may just want to make sure that it's in a waterproof carrying case.

Be aware that this area is swim at your own risk. Reservations and a parking permit will be required for weekends and holidays, beginning in May. This is to help manage traffic, as this area gets particularly busy during warmer months. In fact, reservations are now required on weekends and holidays, from May 25 through Labor Day.
