In Maine, it's not hard to find a great view. Head to the coast, head to the lake or just take a peek outside your back door and you're likely to be confronted with some of the best scenes anywhere in New England. But, what we really love is combining great food with epic views. One of our favorites? This restaurant with waterfall views in Maine.
From the street, Marriner's in Camden looks like any other restaurant — albeit with a little bit of nautical flair.
Inside, the nautical theme continues with faux-portholes and captain's wheels.
And one taste of the pancakes and you'll know why this spot is often packed in the mornings.
But they're also known for their huge lobster rolls.
Or, mix the best of both worlds with a Marriner's egg and lobster.
They've been in the same location on the falls since 1942, which explains why they've also perfected the art of fried seafood.
What falls? These falls! From the front door, you might never guess that the back deck has one of the most epic views in all of Camden.
This unassuming little spot sits right above them. If you can snag yourself a deck table, you'll have the sound of the falls and the views to accompany one of the best meals in town.
It's one of the sunniest places to be on a warm summer day in Maine.
And those harbor views? Worth waiting in line for!
Marriner's is closed on Tuesday, but open every other day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can reach them on 207-236-4949.
