You May Not Like These Predictions About Louisiana’s Wild Upcoming Winter

Farmers' Almanac predicts a cold and wet winter for Louisiana in 2023-2024.

With the brutally high temperatures this time of year, you start to yearn for the cooler months of winter. But how cold will it get? Well, the Farmer’s Almanac just released their 2018 winter predictions and Louisiana is in for an interesting winter. Are you ready for it?

While we don’t see the intense winters that the north does, it does look like we will have a rainier and colder winter than normal.

With northern Louisiana seeing above-average snowfall.

The coldest temperatures will be in mid-December, mid-January, and early-February.

With snowfall a likely possibility during those times (for the northern part of the state, sorry SE Louisiana). Perhaps parts of northern Louisiana could see a white Christmas?

Don’t put away your rain gear just yet, because it looks like it’s going to be a rainy winter, too.

October and December are predicted to be especially rainy.

But Louisiana weather is consistently inconsistent, and that trend is likely throughout the winter.

These wild weather swings are predicted for parts of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. So we could be in shorts one day and a sweater and gloves the next.

What do you think about their prediction? Do you wish it were colder? Warmer? Snowier? Let us know in the comments below!
