Welcome to the Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park! This picture-perfect oasis is just the ticket for the outdoor explorer.
The 160-acre park is comprised of a pine-oak-hickory forest with some of the most stunning scenery around.
There are over five miles of hiking trails within the park, including one handicapped accessible trail.
Each trail offers something different.
Over 500 different species of native plants can be found within the park, so keep your eyes peeled!
You can also visit the interpretive building where you’ll find all sorts of displays where you can learn more about the area’s flora and fauna. There are also several live animal exhibits, so bring the kids!
You might even meet a new friend or two in the aviary!
There's even a deer pen that the little ones will love.
The park truly transforms with every season, so you'll want to plan to return so you can see the park throughout the year.
Admission to the park is free.

Wednesday - Saturday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
