This Small State Park In Louisiana Is A Magical Hidden Gem Worth Exploring

There are 21 state parks in Louisiana, but few can hold a candle to Cypremort Point State Park when it comes to scenery. Now, we love all of the Louisiana state parks, and each one of them offers truly stunning scenery, but while most other state parks feature ancient oaks and mesmerizing cypress trees, the sights you'll stumble into at Cypremort are like no other. You may even think you've been transported to the beach! Let's explore one of the best state parks in Louisiana!

Down at the end of Highway 319, Cypremort Point State Park will be waiting for you.

It's fairly remote, so it's not exactly a state park you just stumble across accidentally. We promise the drive "to the end of the earth" is worth it.

Clocking in at 185 acres, it's not the smallest state park in Louisiana, but it's far from the largest, so we think it's the perfect size for a day or two of exploring.

Nestled along the shores of Vermilion Bay, Cypremort Point State Park offers some of the best fishing around.

You'll also have access to the deeper Gulf waters, too. The bay is also a popular spot for sailing!

There are even boat slips for you to dock your boat in between epic fishing adventures.

Of course, the beach is one of the main attractions of the park.

The half-mile stretch of beach is perfect for catching some rays and enjoying the endless view.

A new boardwalk trail allows visitors to explore in the opposite direction, checking out the marshy terrain on the other side of the park.

Depending on the season, you may see some wildlife! Swamp rabbits, deer, and even the occasional alligator are all fairly common sightings.

If you'd like to extend your stay, book one of the cabins.

There are six cabins that each can sleep up to eight people, so bring the whole crew. The views from the porch are beautiful!

If you can, stick around until sunset. You won't be disappointed.

Watch the boats come back to shore as the sky paints a vibrant sunset for you to enjoy while sipping your favorite beverage along the beach. Sounds delightful, right?
