The Mandeville Lakefront is one of the best places you can go for a quiet, peaceful, and scenic afternoon, and it’s only a short drive from the city.
From point to point, the Lakefront runs for about 2.5 miles, from the Mandeville Lakefront Splash Park to the Sunset Point Fishing Pier.
The splash park is great for kids.
They’ll have a blast playing on the jungle gym, swinging, and running around the open space.
There’s even a little stretch of beach you can sink your toes into.
There’s a paved walkway that runs along the lakefront that’s ideal for an afternoon stroll.
You’ll have the picture-perfect views of Lake Pontchartrain on one side….

There are plenty of restaurants nearby that offer outdoor seating, which will give you an even better view of the lake.
As you continue up the lakefront, you’ll come to the Sunset Point Fishing Pier.
