Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 2002 by former Kentucky state legislator, Mary Ann Tobin.

The sanctuary is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit organization that provides care to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife throughout the state of Kentucky.

Ultimately, their goal is to rehab these sick or injured and animals and then be able to safely release them into the wild when they're healthy enough.

The sanctuary has a full-time veterinarian and staff of licensed wildlife rehabilitators on hand to help where needed.

Broadbent offers scheduled tours by appointment only and they typically take place between 11 am - 2 pm. (Hey, the animals need their beauty sleep just as much as we do!)

On these tours, you can see marvelous animals up close, but at a distance that's safe and comfortable for both the animal and you.

The baby rescues are usually the most adorable ones at the sanctuary...
