You May Not Like These Predictions About Kentucky’s Positively Frigid Upcoming Winter

Farmers' Almanac predicts a cold and snowy winter for Kentucky with fluctuating weather patterns.

Our long-standing weather forecaster for 225 years, the Old Farmer's Almanac has been kind enough to give us a taste of what is to come this winter. While it may seem heartbreaking to already begin thinking of our favorite chilly season, the time has come and you may not like these frigid predictions:

U.S. Climate Data reports that our state's coldest month is January, with an average low of only 21 degrees Fahrenheit, as well as a high of just 40 degrees.

Last year may not have been a terrible winter, but this year we're expected to have colder weather.

"Numbing Cold and Snowy" is how the Old Farmer's Almanac describes the upcoming winter to be. The exact words you never knew you absolutely did not need to hear in your lifetime. Ever.

You'll want to layer up during January as well as early and late February, the coldest predicted periods for Kentucky.

The periods that are forecasted to bring in the most snow are during late January and well into February. Basically we should just make a plan to hibernate for these two months of winter. Yes? Yes.

So, are you ready to ditch the scorching sun and trade it in for days filled with numbingly cold weather? Or does the thought of these predictions make you want to go buy a new winter jacket?
