We all get a little stressed sometimes and need time away from the worries of everyday life. Whether it's work, family issues, or personal problems, the urge to get out and relax somewhere peaceful hits everyone from time to time. One of the most tranquil and beautiful places in Kansas is Perry Lake. This peaceful spot is perfect for escaping your worries and relishing in the natural beauty of the Sunflower State. Next time you need to forget all your worries, hit the road and take a trip to Perry Lake.

Perry Lake is an artificial lake in northeastern Kansas. The impressive body of water spans more than 11,000 acres, with 160 miles of shoreline.

It's no wonder that this place is nicknamed the "Paradise on the Plains." While the primary purpose of Perry Lake was to serve as flood control, it's also an extremely popular recreation area.

Perry State Park is located along the southwestern end of Perry Lake. You'll find plenty of opportunities for both fun and relaxation here, with popular activities including boating, camping, hiking, and fishing.

Speaking of fishing, Perry Lake happens to be one of the best bass lakes in the entire country.

Here in the Sunflower State, we're much better known for our expansive plains than our beautiful lakes. This is one lake in Kansas that definitely deserves some recognition!
