Iowa’s Upper Wapsi Wildlife Area Is Now The Perfect Place To Observe Wildlife

Iowa is full of great state parks and forests, but many of them slip under the radar of all but the most dedicated nature-lovers. One example is the Upper Waspi Wildlife Area, a small nature preserve in the middle of rural Chickasaw County. Extensive work has recently been done on the area, which can be found just north of Iowa Highway 346, and it's now been returned to a mix of the wetlands and prairie that used to make up the area. And it's not just the local plants and timber that have returned - the wildlife is back as well.
