A River Trail Runs Through This Idaho Town And It’s The Ultimate Outdoor Playground

St. Anthony is a small town in southeastern Idaho and it’s an outdoor lover’s paradise. This town is near the incredible St. Anthony Sand Dunes, a beautiful swimming hole, and even a massive underground cave. Plus, it is not far from multiple national parks, waterfalls, state parks, hiking trails, and so much more. But, this small town in Idaho is also home to one hidden gem that gets you outside and exploring — Henry’s Fork Greenway.

Henry’s Fork Greenway is a 2.4-mile out-and-back trail that follows the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. You can see this trail from Highway 20.

This Idaho trail is flat and easy to explore, making it perfect for walking, running, and biking. In the winter, Henry’s Fork Greenway is ideal for cross-country skiing.

This trail follows the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River and all throughout your journey, you’ll enjoy incredible river views.

And not only are the views incredible, but the trail also provides easy access to the river, perfect for a day of fishing.

You will also find benches along your way where you can just sit and enjoy the views or even rest as you complete your journey.

In fact, this isn’t a trail where you want to rush. Along your way, you may just spot wildlife or wildflowers.

There are two entrances to this trail. The north entrance is located near River View Cemetery. The south entrance is located near the north side of the Highway 20 overpass.

So, grab your family, friends, or just enjoy some time alone as you explore the Henry’s Fork Greenway in St. Anthony.
