Located in Island Park, Henrys Lake is one of Idaho's great high mountain lakes—the likes of which is an angler's dream come true. For this reason, the park is popular among anglers fishing for cutthroat, brook, and cut-bow hybrid trout.
However, there's truly something for every nature lover at this wide-open destination. Boasting an abundance of nature trails for hiking and biking, the park's rich natural scenery is completely picturesque.
Comprised of 585 acres on the south shore of Henrys Lake, you'll find that there's plenty of space to stretch out and have some quiet time with Mother Nature. The park itself boasts a boat ramp, campgrounds, cabins, a fish cleaning station, and restrooms as amenities.
In fact, there are over 80 serviced campsites that can be found within the park, along with three rentable cabins (one of which is ADA-accessible.) Whether you're looking for a tranquil camping spot or simply a place to spend a few hours, this park is just the place.
With an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers, visiting Henrys Lake State Park comes with plenty of opportunities for adventure. Additionally, Yellowstone National Park is located just 15-miles west, making Henrys Lake a great stopover on your way to the iconic Wyoming park.
