The Beautiful Lavender Farm Hiding In Plain Sight In Idaho That You Need To Visit

While Idaho may not be known for its lavender production, the Gem State is home to dozens of beautiful lavender farms, which are perfect for spontaneous day-trips, rejuvenating walks, and unexpected beauty. North Idaho is especially well suited for lavender, and tucked away in Sagle is a peaceful farm that grows, dries, and packages their own unique creations, but is well worth a visit come spring for the dreamy views alone!

Tucked away in scenic Sagle - just on the other side of the Long Bridge from Sandpoint - is a hidden gem well worth visiting after April showers blossom into May flowers.

Lakeshore Lavender is one of those places you don't expect to discover in Idaho - a specialty lavender farm that looks like something out of the French countryside, rather than the Idaho Panhandle.

It's been called one of the most beautiful places to visit in this tiny, waterfront town and we agree!

Here, you can stroll through the fields of sweet-smelling flowers, pick your own bundles during peak season, or peruse handmade lavender gifts for purchase.

This locally-owned, family business that has been around since 2011 and has grown to harvest around 2,500 lavender plants. You can smell the magic for miles!

Curious visitors can explore learn all about the plant and its uses. You can touch, feel, and smell the different varieties.

And the smell that surrounds the farm is absolutely heavenly - your senses will feel reinvigorated the moment you arrive!

These delightful herbs are dried by hand, with many of the tiny buds going directly into the handmade products, like hand-crafted spa masks.

Brightly smelling soaps, rich body lotions...

Each product is made with classic recipes and a lot of Idaho love, right on the farm. Pictured is a hot processed lavender soap, aged for five weeks (because all good things take time!).

This fancy gizmo is the still that creates freshly pressed essential oils, straight from the source.
