Tucked away in the rural outskirts of Canyon County, Cleo's Ferry Museum is the heartfelt work of the late Dr. Samuel (Pappy) Swayne and his wife, Cleo.

Together, the Swaynes built a number of buildings on their ranch to house a medical practice and an assortment of eclectic trinkets. After Pappy's passing in 1976, Cleo managed and grew the collections until her own passing.

Today, every nook and cranny of the property is filled with fascinating tchotchkes, decorative signs, collectibles, antiques, and more that capture the whimsical personalities of the couple. What's more, with the addition of a walking trail, the collection offers endless inspiration and delight for the weary traveler as well!

The historic, storybook-like home of Cleo and Pappy will welcome you like family from the moment you arrive.

Although you will find a few modern surprises here and there, the unique cobblestone architecture of the structures here is the first sweet surprise of many more to come.

Charming birdhouses beckon just beyond the parking area, leading you to and along the trail.

Formerly a Snake River crossing site, the historic buildings that dot the trail an property date all the way back to the 1800's - some even earlier! As a final jumping-off point to get to San Francisco and new gold mining claims, this site is truly where dreams began.
